LAND TOUR: Although nothing in life is certain, this is the Joan Peace Travel guarantee to you. We will cancel the tour if there is escalated conflict in our predominant areas of travel. Sar-El Tours, our Israeli tour operator, has made it clear - in writing - that If God forbid, the conflict in Israel is too intense or the war escalates on these travel dates, up to one week before the tour begins in Israel (March 27, 2025), we can cancel the tour. You would then receive a full refund for the land portion, including your $350 deposit. Sar-El Tours is optimistic that March and April will be a safe time to travel to Israel.
FLIGHTS: As far as your flight tickets, you are on your own, but I am happy to help if you are in need of assistance. Keep in mind, cost of flights generally increase as it becomes closer to the date of departure. I recommend purchasing refundable flight tickets or those that can be used as vouchers should the tour be cancelled. El Al airlines is currently providing vouchers for just $29 that can be used by you, your friends, or your family in the future. Call El Al to confirm. El Al is partnered with Delta regarding the use of points.

Donald Trump will officially be President of the U.S. on January 20. If he works as he has in the past, it seems favorable that international conflicts will be resolved in a timely manner. We are keeping our eyes on Syria!

MARCH/EARLY APRIL: THE OPTIMAL TIME TO VISIT ISRAEL

Some of the best Israel hotel rates are in March and beginning April. These specific months are overall the best time to visit Israel because of the combination of great prices and optimal weather.

Typically, the weather is beautiful in late March and April and the countryside displays magnificent flowers. Highs average 70-75; lows 50-60 at night. ​​​

If Israeli tourism does indeed return to what it was before (which is not guaranteed, but hoped for with cautious confidence), tourism will explode as well as prices. It will become very difficult to procure or afford preferred hotels and tour guides, and sites will become uncomfortably crowded. We chose these dates with optimism, hoping and praying the country will be stable and safe as many predict.
FYI: BEST MONTHS TO VISIT ISRAEL BASED UPON WEATHER ARE MARCH THRU MAY AND MID-SEPTEMBER THRU MID-DECEMBER. Late December thru February is generally quite chilly with an ample number of rainy days - making it challenging to walk on uneven and slippery terrain. Highs average in the mid-50s; nights in the low 40s. Additionally, tour time is limited due to shorter days with fewer hours of daylight. June thru mid-September is uncomfortably hot for most. Highs are generally in the 90s and low 100s in most areas.
